"It all started with a thumb piano I received as a gift..." says Matt Pare, one of the musicians in Music to Fly Drones to, and the recordist behind the now two album project. Other instruments/tools used include cat toys, a drill, and a Garden Weasel.
Someone starts a melody or beat on some THING and then the layering begins. Andrew (Gilbert, other main half of m2fd2) procures some lyrics from inside his strange mind. After that it's listening and finding places to add more or mixing down the multitude of tracks involved in a m2fd2 song.
It is a very original sound and a little hard to swallow for a few individuals. If you give it a listen, though, I am sure you will come to a conclusion all your own.
